All heads were turning towards South Fayette Township this week as UPMC announced the affirmation on the location of their next major hospital to be Newbury Marketplace off Millers Run Road. With a few zoning details to be dealt with, all counterparts to the UPMC hospital that aid in convenience and function are beginning their search for office and retail spaces in the South Fayette area. Brokers of BSRE were enthused by the UPMC announcement and have already begun to see an interest in Bursca Business Park down the road from Newbury and Abele Business Park that features both Beacon I and II, directly across the street from the new development.
The showcased Beacon I is a beautiful BSRE newly constructed Class A, 100% Sustainable, commercial high rise that stands watchful over Abele Business Park. This gem is evident from I-79 and is now leasing office space to businesses that wish to make a name for themselves in South Fayette. Phase two of the project will be Beacon II, also located in Abele Business Park, towering over the township. The second Class A high-rise is a built-to-suit commercial building now taking reservations.
Accompanied with the medical development is the addition of the Southern Beltway extension to the new interchange at the Mon/Fayette Expressway predicted to terminate in 2019.
